Where can you go to drive through a Volcano? Dec 01

I was waiting to book my holiday till around Christmas time this year, so that I could take the family on a nice holiday to the Caribbean. So now i have just booked myself a great St Lucia holiday, after the one i went on last year, i decided to go back again. If i hadn’t had so much to do when i came back from my holiday, i would have written about this sooner. So seeing as I am booking a holiday back to St Lucia, and i have some free time, I thought I would explain my last holiday there to you.

We landed at an airport called the Hewanorra airport, a very modern and classy airport. The Hotel that I had booked us into was called the Le sport. After we had settled in, we spent most of our time on the beach or wondering around the forests in St Lucia (yes there are forests).

I had heard that there was a Volcano on St Lucia, yet i never new that we could visit it, let alone drive into it. Now I have seen a volcano before, in Greece, but never one like this. Ever heard of driving through a volcano, well here is where you can do it, the St Lucia Sulphur Springs. This Volcano is Dormant, so there is nothing for you to worry about, just that if the smell of sulphur fades, this means the Volcano is preparing to Erupt!

There are some points in the crater, if you look carefully where even the Mud is boiling. This is one of the reasons why people cannot actually walk through the crater, because a tour guide fell into one of these puddles while jumping on one. So from that point on, walking was prohibited, and you could only take a car or bus through. It was an amazing experience, we got to see all the sulphur springs and the stunning colours splattered around the craters edge and basin. If the opportunity should ever arise, then should definitely try this. Driving through the Volcano was a rush with the Tour guides, so i am looking forward to it again.

For St Lucia holidays, Barbados holidays and Christmas holidays, you should consider contacting a tour operator immediately.

Will you be booking your Christmas holiday after October? Dec 01

What’s happening with Christmas holiday bookings this year? These Christmas holidays are no longer as easy to book near Christmas as they have been in past years. Christmas time for the holiday’s district, sales reach a peak in September and October, then fall dramatically in November.

So what is the reason for these dramatic falls in holiday searches and bookings? Booking a Christmas holiday needs be done in advance. Make sure that if you want one of these holidays at Christmas time, to book well in advance, about 3 months should do it. Christmas is stressful, and booking around this time is even worse, trying to arrange a holiday during the hardest time of the year, is quite challenging. These holidays are very stressful, adding this to the Christmas period can be even more so, not to mention aggravating.

So the best option is to look at these holidays around September and the latest October, then to just forget about it. It is very hard to book holidays to exotic locations at times like these, you need to get the booking quickly. Cuba holidays or Egypt holidays are very difficult to arrange towards Christmas time. These holidays are packed throughout the year, so when it comes to booking at Christmas it is quite difficult.

Barbados and St Lucia have also been popular this year, people have been trying to book holidays to these places in September, only to find they are all booked up. There are only a few select places around where you can still find holidays to Exotic and luxury locations still available. Some of the tour operators around, have cancelled holidays through the Christmas time because they haven’t got any more flights available.

Hopefully you have your Christmas holidays already booked, otherwise it could be very difficult to get one now, especially seeing as we are getting so close to the recession, and not to mention the deals were so good.

Don’t Do These 8 Things When Coaching Youth Soccer Dec 01

Youth Soccer Coaching Drills

If you are Coaching Youth Soccer, there are some things every youth soccer coach needs to consider and be aware. Most of these are based in common sense and as a result, are pretty easy to remember:

1. Don’t make speeches. If you’re a youth soccer coach and your teaching young kids, it’s especially important that you don’t bore them with long speeches and lectures. No matter how old your players are, be short and sweet in whatever you have to say to them.

2. Don’t complicate things. Strip every drill to its basics and test it with your players making sure they are ready to move forward and perform it well. Show your players a complicated diagram with arrows and circles and a five-page instruction manual and they’ll lose interest in a blink of an eye.

3. Don’t be a ball boy- it’s critical that you understand that it’s not your task to run and catch the balls. Make your players go run and get the balls that they shoot out of the field. You can even make it a rule that if they score they don’t have to catch it anymore for that day.

4. In case you have some kids to help in getting the balls, make sure they do not participate in the drills. This simply signals a laxity in discipline- ball boys are just there to get the ball. Some of these kids may want to join your drills. Let them know that they can join if they want to make part of the team in the future.

5. Never, ever criticize the player. One of your players missed a goal? or a decisive pass? Don’t blame them. Point out the flaws in their technique or skill and do that calmly. Screaming at a player for being ’stupid’ is a great way to make them want to leave your team.

6. While Coaching Youth Soccer, explain it clearly and as briefly as possible. Now make a demonstration for your players so they can implement it and perform it properly. Conversely, don’t try and demonstrate something that you can’t do.

7. Health and safety should always be foremost in a coach’s mind. This means making sure that the ground and the equipment are in good shape before your soccer training session starts. Remember that if a kid sprains his ankle because the ground was slippery, then it’s technically your fault.

8. Don’t leave the parents out in the dark. Make sure you hold meetings from time to time with parents and keep them informed about future events and the team’s concerns. Parents are a powerful ally when it comes to keep your coaching activities running smoothly.

When Coaching Youth Soccer, these are important aspects that every coach should consider. If you’re a youth soccer coach and you’d like to learn how to dramatically improve your players’ skills and make training more fun in record time visit us right now at SoccerDrillsTips . com.

Pimp Your Scalextric Cars Dec 01

Slot Car Sickness

Slot car racing with Scalextric is a hobby that continues to grow in popularity. Scalextric and slot car hobbyists soon start to look for ways to get the most speed from their systems. Here are just a few simple tweaks that will help make your cars fly around the track.

The same principles apply to slot cars as well as F1 racing cars and rally cars. To increase speed you might install a more powerful engine, lower the weight and fit better tires. Optimising Scalextric cars can be very educational.

Let’s first think about the Scalextric car’s engine. Your Scalextric cars don’t use petrol engines, they use little electric motors that are very easy to swap out. You can readily find high performance Scalextric car motors that provide higher revs per minute (rpm) than those that are fitted as standard in most cars. A motro upgrade will give you an instant speed improvement.

But increased speed can mean that your car will tend to fly off the track when it encounters a bend. Your car is held on the track using a magnet. Upgrading the magnet will help to keep your car on the track.

The next improvement you might like to make to your car is new tires. Improving grip will improve traction and increase overall speed.

So now you have a pimped up Scalextric car capable of incredible speeds. But what about the track? There are a few simple enhancement that can make all the difference. I suggest that you try this on just one of your two tracks first so that you can compare with the unmodified track.

Start by cleaning the Scalextric track. Dust and grease will lower the traction and result in wheel spin. Next, clean out the slot. Slotted track naturally accumulates dust and debris. This will obviously slow the progress of your car. Keeping your slots free of dust and debris will make major improvements to your system.

Finish up by ensuring that all electrical connections in your system are as good as they can be. Clean all the contacts and make sure the connectors on your car are ultra clean.

By now your car should be breaking speed limits as it whizzes aroung the track. Now you’re ready to find a worthy opponent for a race.

So are you looking where the best places for Christmas holidays are this year? Time is running out and you don’t have time to research locations. SO here are the top 3 places in the world that you could go to for your Christmas holiday this year:

Barbados. This is for the family, the Discovery Bay by Rex Resorts, a great Christmas holiday. Although this is a top quality luxury resort, the prices are not that expensive. There are some clear and peaceful beaches, with very clear waters. Bridgetown is the closest place to venture too from this hotel, and is not too mention the largest and most vibrant town in Barbados. Barbados is considered the party island of the Caribbean.

The Island that is St Lucia. The Body Holiday at Le Sport offers anyone who stays here the most luxurious accommodation. You can get room service day or night, 24/7 so nothing to worry about in the food and drink department. So for the laziest holiday of your life, not to mention the most relaxing one. If your a golfing person then this a great holiday location for you, although saying that, there are other activities as well from, fencing to archery. All of these activities come with training as well. Castries is the capital of St Lucia and is only a 5 minute drive away from the hotel, so great for shopping.

The Maldives. Welcome to by far the priciest of all the locations the “Lily Beach Resort and Spa”. This hotel is considered by many to be a 6 star hotel, and looking at the accommodation you won’t be surprised. If you want somewhere to stay where you can get away from people and spend a week or two in the middle of nowhere, then this is as close to heaven that you are going to get. Huvahedhoo is a glorious looking Maldives island, and the hotel on this island isn’t actually on the island at all, it hovers above the sea on stilts. A very stunning hotel.

Maldives holidays, Dubai holidays and Sri Lanka holidays are well on the rise and this is thanks to the holidays on offer.
